Shinryaku, shinryaku, shinryaku, shinryaku, Sekai Seifuku musume!

Remember how charming it was for a silly squid-girl with humorous super-powers to try to invade Japan?

Wasn’t that just adorable?

Here’s the bad news: the little girl from Sekai Seifuku Bouryaku no Zvezda is much less adorable than Ika Musume.

I was able to sit through one whole episode without fidgeting too much, but I won’t be spending my time with this show. Life is too short. I do note that some of the jokes appear to be rather intelligent, as shown in the example below:

But a few intelligent jokes will not be enough to save this show from itself. The fan service is clunky, the premise is murky, and the supernatural powers are arbitrary.
